Southern Highlands Wines Estate Pinkot Noir 2015
Southern Highlands Wines (SHW) takes its name from a picturesque cool climate region in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales located an hour south of Sydney. The wines from this area have distinctive characters, elegance and varietal definition traditionally found in the world's classiest, most elegant wines.
The SHW Pinot Noir was crafted by selecting the best fruit from high altitude vineyards. This wine displays aromas of fresh raspberries, violet, cinnamon, rosemary and truffle. It also has a subtle mineral finish accompanied with hints of dark cacao, mocha and cinnamon. It is medium bodied, with silky and round tannins, ending softly in your palate. This wine matured for 14 months in French and Hungarian Oak barrels. This wine would be best served with Cantonese, Thai, Indian, light Italian, pork or duck dishes.
13.2% Alc/Vol, approx 7.8 standard drinks, Preservative (220) added.
