Pulpit Rock Chardonnay
The Pulpit Rock Vineyard is located in the cool climate Southern Hghlands wine region of New South Wales, southwest of Sydney. Ancient low yielding granite soils over 700m elevation, low rainfall and high sunshine hours enable us to create this unique Chardonnay. The vines were planted in 1998 and are grown with low-intervention viticultural techniques, using minimal irrigation, fertilisers and pest control. The grapes are then hand picked in order to develop fully our own individual "terroir". Fermentation in French Oak barriques is in the hands of winemaker Rhys Eather and the wine is then aged prior to release.
