Mavis Enderby - Pinot Noir 2011
Mavis started life as part of the Tomahawk Vineyard range of wines and the first vintage was labeled at Tomahawk 2005 Pinot Noir. The Tomahawk label is now held for the vineyard's Shiraz and Mavis Enderby was brought to life as a vibrant Pinot Noir that loves to party and is a great accompaniment to food and celebrations.
We are delighted that Mavis has made so many friends and that vintages have sold out. Stock is also low due to a few vintages without harvests - due to rain at the wrong time.
Currently on release is the 2011 Mavis Enderby Pinot Noir, with characteristics of fresh berries and a strong overtone of cherry (a character of Tomahawk vineyard). The ruby red colour is lighter this vintage due to the hot days during fermentation. It's a delicious wine that makes a great lunch wine and works well with most dishes. Mavis is particularly fond of confit of duck and you can't go past a good Pinot and Duck!
You can order this vintage at our online store.
