There is a small series of alleyways near China Town that present as many as 9 sequential windows of opportunity over a 40 minutes timeframe. In this particular beam I shot as various people walked through and tweaked my height and framing as well as focus point and depth of field. Eventually a courier double-parked off to the right of frame and on his return; laughing, jumped across the beam of light with a little pirouette. Magic…
These greeting cards are similar to the posters available on the site in that they are reproductions of some of Hamish’s most recognisable and arresting street photographs.
Hamish’s work is featured in collections around the world, he also exhibits these images in galleries nationally. Recent shows have included work at the National Portrait Gallery and the Australian Centre for Photography.
The cards (and posters) are printed in an offset process which is the same used to produce high-end art books and magazines. The paper is an uncoated slightly matte stock, which is made of 70% recycled fibres, the inks used are vegetable based. The paper-weight is 190gsm.
The (folded) card size is 105mm wide and 140mm high and comes with a standard C4 envelope.
The interior is blank. They are available in packs of five.
